At home face mask

With winter coming up we are about to face the harsh cold air in our face. We have all experienced dry, red, and cracking skin. Here is a mask that I love to make at home that will help keep your skin hydrated this season.

It is super easy. All you need is 1/2 cup ground oatmeal, 1/2 cup water, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/2 milk. In a small sauce pan combine all these ingredients. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Let it cool and then apply to your face. Leave on for about 15 minutes.

You can do this once a week or whenever you are starting to feel extra dry. The great thing about this mask is it is gentle and made with ingredients used to nourish your skin.

Honey is a great antibacterial which helps with acne prone skin. Also it is packed with antioxidants which aid in preventing wrinkles.

Oatmeal is an anti-inflammatory that will help soothe your skin and tone down redness and irritation.

Milk topically for the skin is great for soothing and hydration.

*if you skip adding milk just add 1/4 cup extra of water to keep a nice consistency*
